The Digital ReeL Microfilm Imaging Solution from BMI ImagingHelping Texas Companies and Government Agencies Solve Their Microfilm Imaging and Management ProblemsDigital ReeL is a microfilm imaging service and a software application. BMI performs the microfilm imaging service at our secure facility and then delivers your organization a complete, microfilm digital library. The Digital ReeL application is included with the microfilm imaging service. The Digital ReeL interface resembles the look of a physical reader printer. Users can easily search digital microfilm rolls and take action (e.g. email/print/save) on their desired records. The Digital ReeL interface can be accessed by users in several ways. Your organization can choose to purchase the software and install it within your IT infrastructure; users access the Digital ReeL application from a computer workstation. Digital ReeL is also available as a hosted offering. If your organization does not wish to install the application and manage your digital records, you can choose to outsource the entire IT infrastructure to BMI. Your digital microfilm rolls will be stored and managed at BMI's secure data center and users will access their images from the Digital ReeL web interface. Digital ReeL is UniqueMicrofilm Imaging Assurance: A standard microfilm imaging service will lose a small percentage of your images during the microfilm imaging process. Even microfilm imaging that promises accuracy greater than 99% can still result in hundreds or thousands of lost images. The Digital ReeL microfilm imaging solution is unique because we create a digital microfilm roll (we don't dissociate images from the microfilm roll thus eliminating the risk of lost images). You get an exact, digital representation of each microfilm roll - just as they appeared in their physical state. Adjustable Grayscale Image Quality: Users can adjust the brightness and contrast of each image so that tough-to-read images can be fine tuned and optimized prior to printing, emailing or saving. Affordable: Digital ReeL is ideal for infrequently accessed microfilm archives because it is often 50% less than other types of microfilm imaging services on the market.
