Microfilm Scanning Solution for Oregon

Unlike standard microfilm scanning services, BMI will create digital replicas of your original microfilm rolls (or microfiche), ensuring that no images are lost during the microfilm scanning process. The microfilm scanning process is completed at one of our secure facilities (optional, on-site option available).

The Digital ReeL microfilm scanning solution includes a software application that emulates microfilm retrieval from a reader printer. Users retrieve virtual microfilm rolls from a PC workstation, avoiding the hassles that come with physical microfilm and legacy reader printers.

Customers Nationwide Have Made Digital ReeL a Proven Solution

Digital ReeL customers include federal government agencies, Salem's state and local government departments and private companies. Oregon recorders, courts, law enforcement, title companies, insurance organizations and more can trust their Oregon microfilm scanning requirements to Digital ReeL.

A Unique Microfilm Scanning Solution for Oregon

  • Affordable Price: Digital ReeL is much less expensive (often 50% less) than traditional microfilm scanning methods, making it an ideal microfilm scanning solution for infrequently accessed microfilm archives.
  • Microfilm Scanning Precision: Digital ReeL converts microfilm (microfiche and aperture cards are also supported) with complete accuracy because we scan the entire microfilm roll or fiche. Because we create a virtual, digital replica of your records, no individual images or details are lost. You'll have a digital representation of your entire archive, exactly as it appeared in the physical state.
  • Image Quality Using Adjustable Grayscale: users can adjust the contrast and brightness of every image to improve the quality of tough-to-read images prior to emailing, printing or saving.

On Premise Installations and On Demand Options Available

  • On Premise: After BMI Imaging completes the Oregon microfilm scanning process, we'll deliver your digital microfilm records as well as the Digital ReeL application to your IT department. Your digital microfilm records and Digital ReeL are stored on your servers. Users access records from a computer workstation(s) through the Digital ReeL application.
  • Digital ReeL On Demand: BMI completes the microfilm scanning service and then hosts your digitally converted microfilm records at our secure data center. Your users will log into the Digital ReeL web interface over the Internet to access needed records. BMI's Document Hosting Service in combination with Digital ReeL is an ideal solution for organizations that want to avoid up-front capital expenditures or who simply want a turnkey solution without purchasing servers, storage and the IT resources to manage the system going forward.

Secure Facilities

Digital ReeL's Oregon microfilm scanning service is completed at one of BMI Imaging's two HIPAA-compliant secure facilities. On-site microfilm scanning options are available if your records cannot leave your location. You can be sure that your records will be in good hands at our facility. Each one of our production facilities includes alarm and sprinkler systems, remote monitoring, fire-suppression equipment and tightly controlled facility access. Site visits are always welcomed.
