Ohio Digital Microfilm Scanner Service

Digital ReeL is a complete digital microfilm scanner service. BMI will convert your microfilm to virtual, digital microfilm rolls at our secure, California facility (optional, on-site option available). Our digital microfilm scanner service creates a digital replica of your original microfilm (or microfiche). The entire microfilm roll is digitally converted. Our digital microfilm scanner service includes a software application that emulates microfilm retrieval from a reader printer. Your users will retrieve virtual microfilm rolls from a PC workstation, avoiding the hassles that come with physical microfilm and legacy reader printers. Digital ReeL is the ideal Ohio digital microfilm scanner service for government agencies and private companies.

On Premise and Cloud Options Available

  • On Premise Option: After BMI completes the digital microfilm scanner service at our facility (or at your site), your IT department stores and manages the digitally converted microfilm records and the Digital ReeL application. Users access the digital records from a browser through the Digital ReeL interface.
  • Digital ReeL Cloud Option: BMI completes the digital microfilm scanner service and then stores your digitally converted records at our secure California data center. Users simply log into the Internet and access records from the Digital ReeL web interface. Combining Digital ReeL with BMI's Document Hosting Service is perfect for organizations that want to avoid up-front capital expenditures or want to avoid the hassles of purchasing servers, storage and the IT resources to manage the ongoing system.

A Unique Ohio Digital Microfilm Scanner Service

  • Affordable Price: Digital ReeL is priced 50% less than standard microfilm scanning methods, making it ideal for infrequently accessed microfilm archives.
  • Digital Microfilm Scanner Accuracy: BMI converts microfilm (and microfiche and aperture cards) with near 100% accuracy because the entire microfilm roll or microfiche is converted. No images or details are lost, digitally preserving your microfilm, microfiche and aperture cards precisely as they appeared in their physical state.
  • Image Quality: Adjustable grayscale is included with every digital microfilm scanner service, enabling users to optimize the quality of tough-to-read images. Watch a quick video to see this feature in action.

Indexing and Search for Your Microfilm Files

Digital ReeL combines full-text searching capabilities with the utilization of your existing indexing methodology to enable users to quickly find information. Digital ReeL supports your existing micrographic indexing methodology. Book and page, case number, roll and frame, and more are example indexing methodologies supported by Digital ReeL. Even multiple indexing methodologies can be accommodated with the digital microfilm scanner solution.

Secure Microfilm Scanning Facilities

Digital ReeL's digital microfilm scanner service is completed at one of BMI Imaging's two HIPAA-compliant secure facilities (optional on-site conversion is available). To ensure the safety of your information while in our hands, each one of our production facilities includes fire-suppression equipment, alarm and sprinkler systems, remote monitoring and tightly controlled facility access.

Proven Solution with Customers Nationwide

Digital ReeL customers include government agencies (federal, state and local) and private companies. County recorders, courts, law enforcement, title companies, educational institutions, insurance organizations and more have come to trust their records to Digital ReeL.
