Microfilm Conversion Solution for New York Companies

Digital ReeL is both a microfilm conversion service and a software application; it is a complete microfilm conversion solution for New York government agencies and businesses. BMI Imaging performs the microfilm conversion service at one of our Northern California facilities. On-site options are available if your records cannot leave your location.

The Digital ReeL microfilm conversion service creates a digital replica of your original, physical microfilm. The Digital ReeL microfilm conversion solution includes an application that presents your digital microfilm rolls like a physical reader printer would. Users can scroll back and forth through the virtual, digital microfilm rolls, eliminating the need for physical microfilm roll archives and the hassles of using legacy, physical reader printers.

Flexible Microfilm Delivery Options for New York's Agencies and Organizations

BMI Imaging is located in Northern California, but our microfilm conversion solution is available nationwide, including New York. If you have a microfilm conversion project, BMI offers several delivery options. For most New York clients, FedEx and UPS work. However, if your information is highly secure and you require absolute assurance of your records during transfer, BMI combines our New York microfilm conversion solution with BRINKS delivery services.

Digital ReeL is Unique From Other New York Microfilm Conversion Services

BMI Imaging designed the Digital ReeL microfilm conversion solution with three keys in mind:

  1. Affordability: Priced 50% less than a standard microfilm conversion service, Digital ReeL is the ideal solution you have been searching for. We often find organizations that want to convert legacy microfilm archives but simply do not have the budget to convert these archives using traditional microfilm scanning services. Digital ReeL was designed with infrequently accessed microfilm records in mind. Microfilm Conversion Accuracy: We digitally scan the entire microfilm, creating a digital replica of each physical roll. As a result, you can be sure that no images are lost during the New York microfilm conversion process. You'll have a visual way to look at each digital microfilm roll so that you'll know that the entire microfilm roll has been converted.
  2. Quality of the Digital Microfilm Record Archive: The Digital ReeL microfilm conversion solution includes adjustable grayscale which allows users to fine tune the quality of difficult-to-read (even illegible) images.

On Premise  and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) Options

The Digital ReeL microfilm conversion solution is available as an on premise or SaaS offering. In both cases, BMI will perform the microfilm conversion service for your organization. You simply select the plan that works best for you.

One option is to purchase the Digital ReeL software application outright as a typical, customer-installed application. After BMI completes the microfilm conversion process, we deliver your digital microfilm rolls along with the Digital ReeL application to your IT department. From there, your IT department stores your digital microfilm records and users access the digital microfilm from the Digital ReeL application that is installed on one or more of your computer workstations.

Another option is to keep your digital microfilm roll records with BMI and then access the records over the Internet. After BMI completes the microfilm conversion process, BMI hosts your digital microfilm rolls at our secure data center; you avoid any IT hassles and access your records from the Internet using the Digital ReeL web interface.

BMI has satisfied microfilm conversion clients throughout the United States. Contact us today to learn more.
