Microfilm Conversion Solution: Available Nationwide

Digital ReeL is a complete microfilm conversion solution - it is both a microfilm conversion service and a software application. Exact digital replicas of your microfilm rolls are created at BMI's secure conversion facility (flexible delivery options for maximum security during transit). In addition, Digital ReeL includes a software application that looks like a reader printer, making it easy for users to quickly load and scroll through the digital microfilm roll archive.

Federal government agencies, state and local government (e.g. courts, county recorders, city agencies, law enforcement) and private companies have come to rely on the Digital ReeL microfilm conversion solution for their important organizational records.

Digital ReeL is Different than Other Microfilm Conversion Solution

Microfilm Conversion Accuracy
The entire microfilm roll (not each individual image) is digitally converted during the microfilm conversion process. This eliminates any risk that an image will get lost (lost images can occur with standard microfilm conversion services). Because the entire microfilm roll is converted, you have an easy way to confirm that all your images have moved to a digital format during the microfilm conversion phase.

Enhancement of Each Image
Digital ReeL includes adjustable grayscale. Grayscale offers a photographic quality to each image during the microfilm conversion process. Digital ReeL is unique because the grayscale is adjustable by the end user - users can adjust the brightness and contrast of each image until the quality is tuned and optimized.

Affordable
Digital ReeL is well suited for infrequently accessed microfilm archives because the price is highly competitive - often 50% less expensive than alternative microfilm conversion services.

Digital ReeL is Available as Installable Software or SaaS

Digital ReeL is offered as a traditional software application that you install at your organization. The microfilm conversion service takes place at one of BMI's secure Northern California facilities but the digital microfilm rolls and the Digital ReeL software are delivered to your organization. Your IT department installs and manages the solution, turning to BMI technical support when necessary.

Digital ReeL is also available as a hosted, software-as-a-service (SaaS) option. The entire Digital ReeL solution can be managed at one of BMI's data centers. BMI will perform not only the microfilm conversion, but also the hosting of your digital microfilm. Users will access records from the Digital ReeL web client over the Internet.
