Florida's Microfilm Conversion Solution

Digital ReeL is a microfilm conversion solution - especially for Florida companies and organizations - that creates a digital replica of your original microfilm or microfiche. The entire microfilm roll is digitally converted. BMI will convert your microfilm to virtual, digital microfilm rolls at one of our secure facilities (optional, on-site option available). The Digital ReeL retrieval application mimics the appearance of a reader printer so that users can simply scroll back and forth through virtual microfilm rolls to find the records they are searching for.

What Makes Digital ReeL Unique?

  • Unbeatable Price: Digital ReeL is ideal for infrequently accessed microfilm archives. If you've found other Florida microfilm conversion solutions too expensive in the past, you'll be pleased to find that Digital ReeL is priced 50% less than most standard microfilm conversion methods.
  • Microfilm Conversion Assurance: Efficient and powerful, Digital ReeL converts microfilm, microfiche and aperture cards with near 100% accuracy because the entire microfilm roll or microfiche is converted. No images or details are lost, digitally preserving your microfilm, microfiche and aperture cards exactly as they appeared in their physical state.
  • Image Quality: During the microfilm conversion process, it is not uncommon for images to have difficult-to-read sections or even illegible portions. The Digital ReeL microfilm conversion solution includes adjustable grayscale, enabling users to adjust the contrast and brightness of every image. Users are able to optimize even the toughest-to-read images with the Digital ReeL microfilm conversion solution.

Convenient Record Access: Various Options Available

  • On Premise: Your organization's IT department installs the Digital ReeL application and manages the servers and storage that store your digitally converted microfilm, microfiche and aperture card records. Users access images from a workstation/web browser through an installable, Digital ReeL application or the Digital ReeL web interface.
  • Hosted Option: BMI completes not only the microfilm conversion, but also stores your digitally converted records at our secure data center. This enables users to access digital records from the Digital ReeL web interface. Combining Digital ReeL with BMI's Document Hosting Service is ideal for organization's that do not want to incur an up-front capital expenditure or want to avoid the hassle of purchasing servers, storage and the IT resources to manage the ongoing system.

Secure Facilities

Digital ReeL's Florida microfilm conversion service is completed at one of BMI Imaging's two HIPAA-compliant secure facilities. If you require on-site microfilm conversion, we can accommodate your needs. The safety of your information is guaranteed while in our hands. Each one of our production facilities includes alarm and sprinkler systems, fire-suppression equipment, remote monitoring and tightly controlled facility access.
